Hi, this past weekend I was lucky enough to meet a few of the cast from little house on the prairie in Independence, KS. I was somewhat disappointed that the character Laura Ingles was not present and Mr Edward’s stand in was there signing autographs in his place.
I did how ever get Miss beadle, Nellie, and Almonzo to sign my 9 season DVD set for me.
I was a bit sad though that there was not only a fee at the door but all autographs were $10 , we were charged for photos with each of the cast members as well as poster photos costing as well. It kinda put a damper on it costing so much. I was disappointed that Laura was not there and what it cost…a bit high don’t ya think.
Most celebrities don’t charge their fans for autographs. Maybe photos if they were done professionally but the photos were taken with the fans own phone. Mmmm I grew up watching little house on the prairie. I love it. So down to earth. A simpler time we should all try to get back to someday.

Watch many episodes for years. Raised in north central Wisc not far from Pepin where a beginning happened to L Ingalls. What an amazing author, and a exemplary cast. Michael Landon a total genius in many ways.

My sincere thanks to all the cast and crew for one of the best shows ever produced. I will continue to watch these shows and learn so many lessons about life. My blessings to you all.

Hi everyone. I am 56 years old. I grew up watching the show for many years. I recently lost my special needs, 20 year old son. He just passed on the 3rd of April, 2024. Even though I have owned the cd collection for many years now, I’ve been binge watching the series every night on Amazon Prime because it’s just more convenient than having to pop in cd after cd! That being said, even though I can now stream, I still would never give up my collection! It has, been giving me great comfort as I grieve for my son during this difficult time. When my fiancé gave it to me one year for Christmas, I balled like a baby! (Happy tears!) Haha Now with more time for travel, I hope to one day visit the location and see it in person! This would mean so much to me! I grew up in a small town in Vermont and led a life in the country similar to Laura Ingles. I remember trying to catch frogs (“frogg’en”) and hunting and fishing with my dad (Pa)! Oh how I would love to visit the location! I now live in San Diego! I never knew the location was here in California until I just now read this thread! I will be adding this to my bucket list of things to do now that I have more freedom to go places! Thank you to Michael Landon, Melissa Gilbert, cast and crew for the making of this wonderful show! It has filled my heart with love, joy, and comfort in my heart and in my soul! I will be passing my collection on to my daughter, with the hope that it gives her life some meaning and fills her heart and soul, much like the way it did mine! My sincere gratitude -Michelle, mother of 2.

I was so excited when I found out that there was a chance that shows all of the little house series from begining to end and then starts all over again. I have been obsessed with the the series. I’ve been watching them when I have time. I can’t believe how many dark episodes there are. It takes on a whole new meaning especially for someone older than the series. I still love watching them so does my son. There are many episodes I don’t remember seeing. I wish there were more shows like this for my grandchildren could watch instead of the crap on today.

I have a place/location that would be awesome to begin a brand new little house on the prairie with a real hidden 49ers camp, horses, cabins, and tons of land both farm and wilderness also lots of hiking trails and I would love to play a part in it. There is even a rifle range, small chappel, and all needed for a set There.
Little house on the prairie is a huge part of my childhood and still to this day pays in my home.
I wish I grew up in the 1800s. I know that it was tough times then and has become a bit easier what with cars, tractors and heating and air and the flow of water but I’d choose the 1800s any day over today

Its good to see the kids can live without phones glued to their ears and seem to use their imagination to spend the day. I remember playing with buttons and pretending that a white one and yellow one eas an egg for my doll or trying to sketch little animals on junk mail trying to think thats a great piece of paper..and all mine. Kids aren’t happy and don’t think what they have is valuable… it’s got to be something new or what somebody else has. They have claws for hands that hold phones and I told my 50 year old son to put it down and talk to me and he did and he had this surprised look on his face…how rude. I would never have did that to my grandparents. I loved their stories even though it was in their language and I learned a lot. What is the world going to? There so many good life stories to hear and learn from and I am sure some of the teens and 20’s would like some people to listen without a phone but with a face a smile and a shoulder but you know what you have to give up a practice and make time for family and see what it gives you. You would be amazed what lives we led before we grew older and wiser and could see what you are up to because we did it too. Memories are forever even when we die and so will yours with your kids.. just give it some time and see if you don’t enjoy it too..life goes by really quick and money isn’t what its all about. Eventually you will have more than you will want and your house will be full of years of why do have this and you leave it for your kids to figure that out while you smile with your wings on and say my mom and dad did this too. These are good memories and make them now… you really don’t have that much time and your wasting it… love..grandma

I Grew up in MINNESOTA with my 8 siblings, my younger sister and I were number 8 and 9.
We played Little House on the Prairie during the summer breaks from school and after school and if our chores were done.
We watched and cried and laughed with EVERY episode together.
Our older sister who was in the middle of us 9 children, sewed and made our costumes even pretend hair out of old tights.
I now live in California I’ve been here with my husband and our 5 children for 16 years and I still enjoy watching reruns of Little House on the Prairie.
It was a huge part of my life growing up pretending to be Mary and Laura, I was Mary and my younger sister was Laura.
Our friends or younger cousin played Carrie.
We would pretend to shoot the beginning of the show where the 3 girls run down the hill and Carrie falls.
This would be Amazing to go to and meet the Cast.

I wish I could go see this! This show was everything to me as a kid. I lived with my mother only so Michael Landon was my t.v dad! Oh how heavenly it would be to see the actual place that my heart was always at.

I love Little House On The Prairie so very much! I am able to watch the show everyday, as there is an actual “Little House on the Prairie” channel where I live, so can watch it any time all day long! I have loved the show since I saw the very first episode as a young woman in the 70’s! I truly wish I could go to California and visit the Little HOuse on the Prairie re-created site, but I live in the Midwest and am disabled, and just could not make such a long trip. It would be nice if the three-day 50th Anniversary celebration was to be televised.

When I was a young girl, one of the boys in my class was ‘famous’. He’d been in a Pepsi commercial, and in an episode of Little House. We lived in Sonora, Ca., and went to school in Columbia. I’ll never forget watching tv, and seeing the young boy from my 4th grade class, on television. We were so proud to be Sleepy Eye, Mn. in Little House On The Prairie.

from foot surgery for the second time. Wished they could do these reunions frequently and last throughout the months of every year so more fans can save $ and attend. Love all the wonderful cast members. Sad to hear a few had passed away RIP 🤍

To bad there can’t be a reunion on TV for it. Michael Landon was a great actor in all of his shows.. I loved all the actresses and actors. LONG LIVE “LITTLE HOUSE ON THE PRAIRIE”!!!

I agree a reunion would be great. But as you say Michael Landon has passed ..Then all others Mr. Mrs Olsen, Doc Baker, Mr. Edwards, Lars Hanson, I can’t think of actress that died in house fire and her husband in show in real life gone. However would be nice if rest would have a reunion.

I really love Little House On The Prarie. In 2007 I had a chance to go to Walnut Grove, MN. I saw Plum Creek, and the original dugout site where the Ingalls lived while Charles was building their house.

We also visited the Laura Ingalls Wilder museum in the town of Walnut Grove. That was very fascinating. They had both the real history of the Ingalls family, plus the history of the Little House TV show, including accounts of the cast who occasionally visited Walnut Grove.

The town is very proud to be one of the places where the Ingalls family lived, and having a TV show based on the their lives in Walnut Grove. The Ingalls probably only lived in Walnut Grove for about 2 years in real life, but the town is very proud of their history.

In 1974 I worked at the Holiday Inn in Brentwood as a waitress. A red headed bartender told me he knew the first cameraman in the TV show “Little House of the Prairie”. He asked me if I would like to go to the location. I answered, yes. We drove on the freeway right across from 5 Flags. I saw Michael Landon walk wearing his hat walking through the town. I saw Mr. Olsen sweep the porch in front of his store speaking his script. Years later I drove there alone, the gate was opened and I drove to where the little house was still there. I walked inside the little house and found a shell, no fireplace there. But there I was, standing there in ” The Little House of the Prairie”. Paramount filmed the interiors of the House in there in the studio. I was born in Los Angeles in 1951. I was seen many actors and some I have known personally. So happy the “Little House of the Prairie” lives in our remembers, and see them in DVDs. Cindy 👋

My parents were embarrassed about this and never talked about it! LHOTP showed Me how to live with dignity and the My disability could be a character building asset ! In short, Little House made My life better and I am forever grateful for Melissa Ellen Gilbert and Michael Landon!

LHOTP is a staple in my house for the past 2 years. It was needed for a sense of calmness as I watched the Ingalls family struggle to live. Their family love beat their lack of wealth and their many hardships. And Laura Ingalls was a sassy brat with her antics, reminds me of some kids I know. The acting was superb across the board. So glad to see there was a recent celebration of this show. May it live on. And Michael Landon left us too early.
